True to form I see there is a slightly modified plan already - I anticipate a few more. Three (3) layouts on the go and two (2) different scales - all at the same time! I bet in your younger days you were the guy at the circus who rode a motorcycle blindfolded on a tightrope over a cage of lions with a pretty young girl doing a hand stand on your shoulders. You never fail to impress! Cheers Bogie, I'm not sure about riding over Lions in a Circus, but we did pass a Moto Cross Shop at Hazel Grove yesterday, I did comment that I really missed my Moto Cross Days. I can cope easily with the two Scales / Gauges and hopefully soon Bala Town will be moving on to pastures new once the Photos are done for the Mag Article.
Andrew P
I've managed to get the wiring done this morning, simple Track Feeds and Points fed from a 12V DC Wall Wart Transformer instead of 16V AC Transformer, as I had one in stock. Unfortunately it doesn't have enough kick to throw two points at the same time for the Crossover, but I can live with that. Plug ins from left to right are, 12V DC Point Power, Centre two, Programming Track feed. Right, Track Feeds, Point switches are 1,= to Prog Track / Loco Spur, 2, = Crossover from Main, (see X indicates that 2 & 3 work together) 12V hasn't enough kick to throw the 2 together. 3, = Crossover from Departure Road, (and see above) 4, = Arrivals / Departure Sidings, 5, = Warehouse Siding, 6, = ''Y'' for front Yard / rear Yard / Parcels Siding, 7, = Rear Yard and Parcels Siding. 8, = Programming Track / Loco Spur. EDIT = Since posting the above, I've moved the switch for the Prog / Main switch to the left end next to the Switch for the Track it relates to, and moved the rest along one. The Road Bridge and embankment will cover the Switch panel. Edited April 1, 2019 by Andrew P add words 9

Andrew P
Thanks Ade, I didn't see you at the OLD Club last night, but I only stayed an hour or so. I went around to Big John's for an hour afterwards, and he is doing well with his project.

No not looking for the fastest build, but this is something totally different for me in the respect that there will be no back scene as such, no rolling hills, no mountains, no mountain streams, no Trees, bushes or hedgerows etc. just warehouses, and that will be something different as well for me. Yesterday I laid just two tracks into the Fiddle Yard and wired them up for testing purposes, and so far this morning, I've made a start on the Bridge that will separate the Scenic side from the Fiddle Yard. Hopefully some pics later. 2

Andrew P
As I said earlier, a start has been made on the Bridge, but because of it's positioning and the need for a second entrance, a lot has had to be scratch built to fit the area, including the over hang of the control panel. 12

RMweb Gold PeterBB Posted April 4, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 4, 2019 (edited) Somewhere it was said that you had not had a layout without a painted backscene but, Just a thought, the initial Deesdale Road did not have a painted back scene. Indeed, your right Peter, I had forgotten about that. NOT even a Backscene Board, just the Warehouses. Then I added this extension. Then above the Fuelling Point I added a Gaugemaster ''N'' Gauge Backscene and then painted some Trees to throw the Power Station further back. 8 1
RMweb Gold MarshLane Posted April 5, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2019 Hi Andy, wow can you slow down a bit ... your making the rest of us look as if we are dithering and doddering and moving at snails pace ... what do you mean well we are! New plan looks good, I am following along in the background - bit up and down at the moment ... but I am destroying a few trees drawing up plans and ideas. Might just adopt your approach and lay some track once of these days. Now need to go update on your progress with SMS. Rich 1
