Pen and Sword were selling these for a tenner at the BRM show, usual rrp£20

 

Nice book for the price, a bit on Mike Sharman’s layout at the front. A few pages of assorted track, signals and locos and stock including a random selection of drawings. 

All tied up with a good, if brief, selection of layout photos. 

Worth £20 and a steal for £10!

They are a real mix most are just side elevations, these include Hackworth ‘Royal George’, Haswell 4.2.0 , a Bury 2.2.0 and 0.4.0, Adams loco carriage 2.2+coach, Jenny Lind 2.2.2 (no tender) and a couple of US locos

 

There’s a similar multiple elevation set for the Caledonian 2.2.2 no25 & Vale of Neath broad Gauge 0.6.0. 

 

Certainly not a set to build a layout from, they are a sort of development of types.

Hmm, that's a bit annoying, I bought this book on advanced order and got a fiver discount, a week later it's being sold cheaper.

 

This is the second time that's happened to me with a Pen and Sword book.

I shan't be making that mistake again!

 

I guess they don't value their pre-order customers.
