RMweb Premium Michael Edge Posted November 25, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2019 Our recommendation is Gibson 4844P (Markits 15mm would fit in 00 but probably not in EM) and High Level Roadrunner+ gearbox.
nope
Thank you! What about the buffers though?

Micheal I am migrating to EM gauge the kit built stock I have built up, even though I have a GW wheel press I am using Romford/Markit wheels where I can. is it just the wheel flange size that's an issue or is the width of the wheels that's an issue with Romford/Markit wheels in EM gauge ? RMweb Premium Michael Edge Posted November 29, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 29, 2019 Markits wheels are thicker than Gibson so you might have difficulty with the clearance behind the crossheads. I had so many queries about this that I built the test etch of the Horwich version in EM gauge (with Gibson wheels though) just to prove that it isn't difficult.
