STEAM'S LAMENT London Midland Region Engine Sheds III 14A to 19C

Continuing in the same format as the acclaimed titles covering the British Railway's Standard locomotive fleet we turn our attention towards visiting all of the London Midland Region's engine sheds during the period 1948 to 1968. We have chosen the finest unpublished views possible to include as wide a range of locomotive classes on shed as we could find during the last ten years. The selections have been made on the basis of both high quality images but also they have been chosen to bring back the real life of visiting the sheds during the last twenty years of British Railways steam.

Within this volume we visit 14A to 19C based upon the 1948 - 1950 shed codes:

These engine sheds are all to be seen within: Cricklewood, Kentish Town, St. Albans, Wellingborough, Kettering, Leicester Midland, Bedford, Nottingham, Peterborough Spital Bridge, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Mansfield, Derby, Burton, Coalville, Rowsley, Cromford, Middleton Top, Toton, Westhouses, Hasland, Staveley Midland, Sheffield Grimesthorpe, Millhouses, and Canklow.

Each volume is 128 pages with a superb selection of high quality black & white photographs depicting these locations as we remember them. The print runs are limited to just 1000 copies, therefore to avoid disappointment we advise you place your order straightaway.

Future volumes will cover all of the regions in similar detail and will provide a wonderful record of the era.

Just a heads up after a few folk gave me a hard time as they missed out on copies of Diesels& Electrics to the Scrapyards, and Looking back at Shunters I & II as these were also shorter run publications, suggesting I did not give fair warning. Well this is to let you know the six latest titles on LMR Engine Sheds and DMUs have already sold half their print runs in their first fourteen days. So there we are, this will be the case of shorter print runs on all future titles, speaking of which the Eastern & North Eastern Region's sheds will get the treatment next.
