Has anyone got this book and is it worth it, quantity of pictures worth, for the west of England section, particularly the Salisbury to Exeter  stretch? If there are only a couple of sides then it may not be for my needs. I ask as I now have to justify purchase of this sort of book as I have so many others.

Thanks

Phil

Dunno Phil as I've not come across it.

However the editor of BRILL clearly had you in mind when putting together the April edition as it features a number of pictures of those cans of spam thingies at 'a certain station' which might be of interest to you (N.B. it is entirely pictures off engines and trains although some signals get a look in).

Nice shot of 1442 at Colyford, taken from outside the pub I think. Takes me back to my school days. Much excitement when steam reappeared for a short while.

The road is much wider nowadays and the Seaton Tramway goes over the (now ungated) crossing.
