Anybody seen or heard of a TV show called 'Train Truckers ? Not sure if it's new or been on a channel i don't get. A mate of mines Grandson works for the haulage firm that is involved in the show, it is made by TCB media for showing on the UKTV  channels i believe.:pardon:

Found this on a Severn Valley Railway Facebook Page:

"Allelys Heavy Haulage take to the screens! Train Truckers is a 6 part series following our specialist rail teams and will be aired on UKTVs Yesterday Channel. Stay tuned to our social channels for release dates!"

Caught the trailer (ha!) for it this morning.

I'll be putting it on the PVR and sample the first one.

It should be interesting to see the real problems that arise when moving heritage locos of all types from one place to another but if they start injecting false jeopardy just before each ad-break, I'll start to lose patience!

Slightly OT and I  wouldn't want it to happen to a loco, but how about some real jeopardy?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-49371803

happened a couple of weeks ago and caused motorway chaos for a while - southbound M90 eventually shut for recovery, apparently the wreckers came from Carlisle (under contract to MOD), northbound slow and backed up due to rubberneckers.

From Facebook chatter, the haulage firm involved have been featured on 'mega truckers' or similar - now that would make an interesting episode!

I am hearing on the grapevine that there is another series in the offing.

That's good news - SWMBO and I thoroughly enjoyed the first series - false jeopardy notwithstanding... In fairness, there was/is some of that on the series about the NYMR too - but apparently 'normals' love stuff like that...

My wife and I watched series 1 and found the false jeopardy stuff a bit grating. I know there were a couple of factual errors with that series as well, so I am hoping the bit I am involved with will be error free so much as I can help it.

I've watched on a few occasions and quite enjoyed it.  But what it didn't prepare me for was an S160 and its tender (on separate trailers of course) passing me heading in the opposite direction on the A 4074 this afternoon - no film crew visible ;)

That's the second time that's happened in a fortnight. There should be one going the other way either today or tomorrow.
