Peppercorn A1 pacific worksplates.

The A1s appeared to have large brass works plates fixed to the cab sides, as Gresley and Thompson pacifics had.  The LNER built ones had a plate with LNER at the top, the build date and works number.

The A1s were built after nationalisation,  so what did the works plates have on them, was it British railways?

I've gone through all my books, found pics of nearly every A1, but no close ups of a cab side! Haven't so far found an appropriate internet pic. either. Plenty of 3/4 views.

I've repainted and renumbered a couple of A1 models, they really need to have works plates fitted, as these stand out. There are etched LNER ones available, but what should I be looking for?

Thanks.
