JMRI and OpenJdk

Due to changes in the current Oracle Java platform licencing model many companies are changing to OpenJdk https://adoptopenjdk.net/ which is free and runs all existing Java code but unfortunately JMRI (or the Decoderpro bit I use) always  looks for Oracle Java 8 when trying to start it despite me having OpenJDK12 installed from the above link. My other Java programmes run happily with OpenJDK just not JMRI.

does anyone know how to make this opensource program with athe OpenJDK platform?

Thanks
