RMweb Premium Legend Posted September 11, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 11, 2019 Thanks for reminder , though. It harks back to school term times , but I always view Ayr as the first of the season and Perth as the last . So as I missed Perth and the last one for me was probably Troon , its the longest period that I haven't attended a show . Looking forward to it and the retail therapy , its worth it just to browse Douglas Blades book store alone!
RMweb Premium Scottish-Exile Posted September 12, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 12, 2019 An unavoidable bit of bad planning by me means that I'll be up in Ayr this weekend, the week before the show and no chance of being back the following week Hope it's a success for all.

Lowlander
Well that's the hall set up. Eaglesham looks excellent as does Glenfinnan, Tullygarth. There are a quite a few modern image layouts in oo and O gauge. Durham trains has the new Bachmann class 37 025 also some lovely re-sprayed n gauge. North road trains has a huge selection of garden railway locos and stock. Cheltenham has special offers on the new Dapol bolster wagon and also new tts Hornby class 37 chips. The forecast is warm for tomorrow, so the hall will be warm. If you are coming down I hope you enjoy the exhibition.

Stewart
Just wanted to thank all involved. This show is always worth a visit but I particularly enjoyed dropping in on Sunday. Highlights for me were Glenfinnan, Dalnottar Riverside, Carr Street and Eaglesham.
RMweb Gold Scottish Modeller Posted September 23, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 23, 2019 Hi all, Another good exhibition by the Ayr MRG team - Thanks and well done! NGS stand at the show was busy quite often with a lot of interested parties in the NEW NGS in Scotland - Forth and Clyde Area Group. Hopefully the interest shown will result in more members of the NGS taking an active part in the group activities. Speaking of which.... Next event is Scale Scotland at BT Murrayfield this coming Saturday. Whilst this is a military modelling event - we get a lot of interest in the N Gauge stuff I take and show. Thanks Phil H
grid56104
Just a thank you to Steven and his team for another good show as always. That was The Maxwell Colliery Loading Point's last show in Scotland in its large version. I should note it made its debut (in its short version) some years ago now at Ayr so an appropriate venue for its last show. Max
