37114
Very nice layout, I am envious of your garden space as well. It looks like you have plenty of locos?
RMweb Gold jcarta Posted April 18, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 18, 2020 Rob Thanks for your kind comment.... Yes when my colleague pops round and he brings his stock as well we seem to have more loco's than rolling stock some days but at least it gives them a good run.... My problem is that I never sale anything so the fleet just gets bigger but there is always room for more providing I can sneak them in without any one noticing, mainly SWMBO .... You can never have to many of a good investment Jim. Andy I did once have a N Gauge layout called "Penny Lane" , again it was based on a depot theme but one day as I was visiting Howes and I saw the Heljan O Gauge show case and that was it, within 6 months I had sold the layout to a friend and the stock on Ebay. With my new found bounty I purchased my first O Gauge loco 47583.... I haven't looked back since. Here are a few pictures of "Penny Lane" and you can find some more on my Flickr site. https://www.flickr.com/photos/39670739@N05/albums/72157633794211250/with/8883496034/ Edited April 19, 2020 by jcarta 2

RMweb Gold jcarta Posted April 24, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) Afternoon All Today I would like you to meet my very good friend whom I usually refer to him as my guru. Well it's about time you met Ray whom I have had the pleasure of knowing for many years through work then finally through ours hobbies and without his knowledge this project would not have got off the ground.... The good thing is he purchased a loco to run on this layout now I believe he has 5 or 6......... Ray doing a testing out session ..... look at all his boxes that he bought with him so it turned into a running session. Well here he is again, obviously controlling the railway from an armchair, really Ray come on you don't expect me to run over to do all the coupling / uncoupling do you? Also if my memory serves me correctly SWMBO was just getting him a cup of tea & a biscuit......... Thanks for all your help & friendship over the years in everything you / we've done together, very much appreciated matey. RMweb Premium Ray H Posted April 25, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 25, 2020 Can I still get my head through the doorway after those kind words? I think we support each other as there's a fair few things Jim does for me almost without being asked so I'm not the sole good bloke! Thanks again. BTW I've bought at least one new loco since those pictures were taken and it desperately needs to stretch its legs (and it is blue!).
RMweb Gold jcarta Posted April 25, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) You could always drop it off at the door as your not allowed out for 6 months ...... Or I tell Mr Johnson about you I could run it and send you some pics / videos..... and it will get a great new Large Logo Blue paint job .... free of charge.... D6775
Now that's a bit fruity! Just needs wants a small petroleum logo under the centre bodyside window.
