RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted April 26, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 26, 2019 (edited) Andy, yesterday pop up google adds started appearing on the mobile version and are a pain in the wotsit as they keep randomly descending as you click on a topic and you open the add instead! They are also very distracting as some are animated. You can tap the arrow to push them up but they randomly pop down again. Any idea how to disable it as it’s worrying me what link I’m going to get at some point! Just blummin done it as I’m typing!!! The x is do small my big fingers struggle to cancel it without opening it. They are SO annoying, constantly interrupting the site experience. RM web needs funding from ads to keep the free-to-user business model viable. But that drop down thingy from the top of screen gives me a very negative, frustrating user experience. Steadfast Posted April 27, 2019 Share Posted April 27, 2019 I'm running Chrome on Android pie. I only get the scroll down ads when viewing in portrait mode, but get it in addition to the inline ad. Additionally, when in portrait mode, the ads seem to be generic, usually for Warners. When portrait, I get ads for retailers and manufacturers, all model railway related. And the ads are generic as I got one on Sky broadband and I not search for that or even look d at anything with broadband.
