Ratio 504 Stone-built Station Building

If I wanted to build this without the canopy, would that involve any major work to fill gaps or whatever in the top of the front elevation where the canopy is normally joined to it?  I can't tell from any of the pictures online how the two parts connect.

From memory when I built mine with a flat canopy rather than the supplied one, there are no holes to fill in.

 

Unfortunately, the top of the wall on mine is now covered by a supporting beam for the canopy so I cannot see if there are actually any holes.

I build one years ago without a canopy to go on a 'Welsh' 009 layout.  Painted to look  well weathered and slightly shabby it looked really good.  I don't remember having to cover or fill any attachments for the canopy that i didn't use.

Got one myself somewhere. Used it on one platform and the Hornby Dunster station on the other. Looked pretty good ISTR.
