Don't be so clever @St Enodoc it's SA (roundel) D. Unlike ANTB's naughty chair, on here there's no such frivolity on this thread - it's some very gentle air smoothing for you :jester:

I'll settle for that, even if it is the wrong railway. Better than the naughty chair being the ejector seat on the Bucc...

Busy few days, first off I've finished the Cromwell..

More on this build can be found in Part 2 of it's Blog Entry

I've also started work on another Timber Tracks Building - this time it's the GWR Signal Box C:

It builds up pretty quickly.

However most of yesterday afternoon and today has been spent building the photo-etch interior by Severn Models.

Hopefully should have another update for you tomorrow.

Better late than never, here's an update to what's been going on (and off the workbench)..

The Signal Box, well there's been much progress there:

The interior took a while to do (especially 36 levers) and having to install the lighting as well.

With the interior fitted, lighting installed and tested. It was time to fit the roof & chimney, I had to partially tile the rear side of the roof in order to fit the chimney cleanly and connect it up to the stove ;)

Roof tiled and the mortar coat added to the brick work.

Next up I got distracted by this 'little' build'..

I will be doing a two part blog on the Churchill Mk. VII (with Crocodile), once she's finished.

Oh and at long-last the Timber Tracks Engine Shed returned to the Workbench & Kitchen Table for modification & extension :O

And I've done all this with a frozen shoulder and (now) two badly bruised knee's

Nearly a week's gone by, without an update..

Let's remedy that, up first the Timber Tracks Signal Box, it's almost there just needs some subtle weathering.

The Engine Shed is more or less ready for paint (it's in Halford's Grey Primer)

I've not glued on the roof trusses (the original Shed 1 there were glued, but there not now), as there's a lot to go inside.

Now in grey..

And there's the small matter of a certain tank..

Yes there are going to be few blog entries going up this week ;)

Very nice. Can you tell us more about the nameboard please?

Hope you're feeling 100%  now.

Re the Timber Tracks  "Thornbury"  signal box, one detail that really stands out to me is the signalman figure with his cloth seen over the lever!

Earlier on in the build you showed lighting being fitted, there is wiring leading to a "bar" that fits in the roof.  Can't see what that actually is, is it a lighting bar of some sort with a bulb at one end,  or is it just one bulb - or more than one perhaps?

Agreed, an etched one from Guilplates would be a bit more classy imo.

That wasn't quite my question Rob. I'm interested in the font, which seems to be closer to the GWR style than I've seen before. Up to now I've used Slater's 1.5mm letters but they're really not the right shape.
