The lswr coaches look nice,  the (Mainline) LMS 57' coaches really set a new standard when they came out all those years ago, and hold their own today imho.  The Lego Eagle is great!

Can't work out what the Hellcat resin is, is it an underwing radar dome?  I saw  the video of 'Nigel's workbench' Hellcat engine core, that engine is massive in model form.

No the Resin is the fuel tanks, visible with the wings folded & ventral hatch open - which Airfix chose to omit.

He's now also posted a video on how to strengthen the undercarriage too.

His making and fitting of seatbelts in the Hellcat cockpit is something else.

A tip to get the tender closer easily is to put a slither of plasticard on the peg mounting.;)

Oh and tonight I decree it Tempest Tuesday, as I managed to get an hour or so's worth of work done on the Tempest V..

Mainly sanding and some minor filling, but the fuselage & wings are now glued together!

I also plucked up the courage to fit the wings to the Tempest's older sister - it did require some serious engineering (Mini-Neil was watching on with interest) ;)

I left it to dry for nearly 24 hours - this morning I was relieved to note the starboard wing root (which was the issue), now only needs some minor filling.

I've also fitted the resin tail-planes...

I didn't know the Tempest had etched plates....

There are some etched plates on the Eduard Tempest - though compared to the Typhoon it's minimal (and to scale unlike the Tiffy).

Fortunately the decals are by Cartograph - not Powsides :jester::jester:

In the meantime more parts added - the canopy subframe is dry-fitted atm, as it needs the internal faces painted.

Oh and twin Hawker shoot..

The Tiffy IB has the later Tempest V tail planes ;)

Had a huge delivery on Sunday from a Client, with enough flat pack buildings - to make me feel like a cross between IKEA and Barratt Homes!

Timber Tracks OO Gauge Westbury Stables - a small, but time consuming build..

Quite a big update...

Stables are now in primer (Halfords Grey Primer Aerosol)

Not content with just that I built the Timber Tracks GWR Sand House..

sandhouse_01.jpg.93ca0f63299ced8563f35bd27aec10a3.jpg

Relatively straightforward apart from forming the roof - which involved boiling water, a Railmatch Aerosol and elastic bands..

Once everything was dry and glued together this got a coat of grey primer..

.. whilst this was drying I started yet another Timber Tracks kit, GWR Goods Shed C and yet another set of vague instructions..

More to come on this one, later today.

A belated updated from yesterday.

More detailing added (and some mods for adding lighting - more on that in a later post ;) ).

I've also had the soldering Iron out..

The office wasn't glued on at this point and here's a separate view of it...

Sorry for the delay this was the state of play with the Goods Shed at the end of Monday..

Office and goods shed glued together, mods made for lighting (as mentioned previously) and the majority of exterior detail added.

I've only fitted the rear roof panels to make painting the interior easier (and to give some strength to rail side of the shed)

Testing out some lighting..

I'm currently in the process of priming the interior (along with painting the other two buildings exteriors), so there will be an update at some point in the next week or so on this.
