Jack079
Hi, I was wondering what numbers where in the first batch of Dapol class 66s as I was thinking of buying a few second hand models but I’ve heard the first batch of models are not as reliable. Dr Al
They were done in batches of 250, so fairly rare. They are good because they have a larger metal chassis, so better adhesion. They don't however have a DCC socket. They do need to have their geartrains cleaned out of original grease I've found as this gets very sticky and gums them up - this is very common and almost certainly the reason for folks saying they aren't reliable. Cheers, Alan
davepallant
Unless there was a scheme you really wanted my rule of thumb is from ND1xx onwards including the latest 2D-007 numbers. Edited May 22, 2019 by davepallant ND100 is a Terrier!
