RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted September 10, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 10, 2019 In a potentially post-Brexit environment I cannot rely on 2020 being anything. However, comma, having missed the Taunton shindig for a couple of years, perhaps this ought to go in the diary - if only I kept one! The menu as posted by Stubby so far is most tempting. I/we will try to be there! 4

The mighty( ) Greens last home match is on the 25th so that could be the clincher for a few of us 'northeners' (that is, east and north of Brizzle) to attend? There must be trains from/to Taunton and if not the drive isn't impossible. Maybe I'll be fit enough? Duck. Hang on chaps. Don't encourage him too much or he might actually try to turn up. Think carefully - do you really want a bird loose in the room? Just think what they do . . . . Last time I left the velux window open in the railway room loft a sparrow flew in & crapped incessantly all over the layouts up there. I'm still trying to clear up after it. Also, ducks in particular (along with gulls, of course) are notorious for eating anything/everything they can get their beaks into, including your lunch and, indeed, yourself if necessary. If the place is going to be packed with cake like it usually is it'll be chaos. Is that what we really want? 2 1 1 4
RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted September 11, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 11, 2019 True story, I was late for work once when I had to persuade a sparrow to get out of the house. My boss actually seemed impressed when I told him I'd been chasing a bird around the bedroom. 1 2 7

RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted September 11, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 11, 2019 (edited) Oh wow, must come and crap everywhere now as I can be scanned and turned into an item for the layout (what layout?). I'll have you know that Ducks' carp is really awful, but not as awful as Gulls' carp as that is often full of sand and gravel. Ducks' stuff is more slime and weed. Just do not invite any geese or Cormorants. Ar$£. Edited September 11, 2019 by Mallard60022 Pah, boo and collywobbles. 1 1 4
