Made an insert for the river From plasticard and polystyrene sheet. Idea to create a wide but slow flowing river beneath the bridge. Plaster and then coat of burnt sienna as a sealing layer. Bridge abutments made from plasticard.

Fantastic work, as usual.

There were most definitely some bargains to be had at Wakefield. I came home with a four steam locomotives and a load of rolling stock. :)

The show was great again this year, as was expected. I am really looking forward to being an exhibitor there next year (it's always one of the best shows to exhibit at, I find. :)

Saw this photo posted to a Facebook group and remembered you are the only one I know to model them. So here is the caption to go with the photo "A long string of Monon C420's blast northbound across the K&I Bridge spanning the Ohio River at New Albany, Indiana in June, 1968. David Hawkins collection."

"A trio of the Monon's enormous C628's, nearly new at the time, roll through New Albany, Indiana on June 26, 1964. When heavy coal traffic never materialized, coupled with their weight, the railroad returned the units to Alco. They were subsequently re-sold to the Lehigh Valley. David Hawkins collection."

"Monon F3A #83-B is at the intersection of Kirkwood Avenue and Morton Street as it approaches southbound to the station in Bloomington, Indiana, circa late 1940's. Today, this scene has changed drastically and the right-of-way is now the Bloomington Rail Trail. John W. Barriger III photo."
