60021 Pen-y-Ghent
Hi! Just seen a Colas 56 heading along the Aire Valley towards Skipton at about 16:30. Personally, I've never seen one in this neck of the woods before. Can anyone enlighten me as to what this working is/was about please? http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O07256/2019/05/20/advanced Thanks Regards David
mikejames
hi I think its the same train and it was a 70 by the time it got to ribblehead There are 2 'stills' on the ribblehead cam of railcam at about 5 42 I wont post it because I'm not sure of copyright issue edited to say that a bit earlier there is another still of a 'light' 56 at ribblehead (and also at Horton in ribblesdale) so the 56 didn't turn into a 70! mike james Edited May 20, 2019 by mikejames corretion
RateTheFreight
Think it’s either a route learner or positioning move for later in the week. G
60021 Pen-y-Ghent
Another went through the following day (21 May) dragging 4 unloaded kFAs. So probably was route learning. https://www.railcam.uk/stills/galleries/g.php?sfpg=SG9ydG9uLyoqZGQxNjY2ODk0ODlmMDIxN2M2ZTIxNjkyNTIzNzJmY2Y http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O07584/2019/05/21/advanced
RateTheFreight
The KFAs had been for tyre turning. G
