Cameo layouts at Railex this weekend

Recommended Posts

Just a reminder to everyone that the six finalists are all appearing at "Railex" this weekend.

Also to remind continuing builders and those entrants that were not shortlisted (you all know who you are) that you are invited to visit to show as guests of Wild Swan.

I have deposited a list of names with David and team so just say who you are and what your entry was at the show pay desk and you will be presented with a complimentary ticket to the show.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible over the weekend!

Simon

PS "participation plaques" not yet sorted out, but they will be.

1st was  Newton Heath Works, 2nd was Midland in Bristol.  All finalists were excellent mind. My favourite was Bottom Works Sidings bit I see what the winner was chosen.

A thank you to Simon for arranging "free entry" courtesy of Wild Swan to an excellent show.

My entry is still plodding forward at a snails pace.

I've either gone word-blind, or Newton Heath isn't on the forum to see. Advice please?

Correct. Go to the Railex link in the exhibitions area and you should find some pics there.

Not on this (or any other) forum, but appearing at the "Model Railways" show at Warminster on the 8th June.

Not far from Salisbury and do-able by train too!

As Simon says, we have four of the shortlisted Cameo entries at Warminster, including the winner, Newton Heath Works. We also have all of the judges - Rice, Gravett and Nevard, as well as Simon himself. Full details here;

And to whet your'e appetite, heres a few snaps of the winner I took at the excellent Railex show last weekend,

Given that Railex 2020 has been cancelled, presumably the Cameo Challenge rolls over to next year?

That's one less thing to worry about then! :D
