Gareth collapsed suddenly of a heart attack while on his lunch break with work colleagues. He was 45. Many will know Gareth from his exhibitoning of his and his dad Bobs many layouts over the years. Both 00 and later N gauge. Most with a Scottish theme. Gareth also demoed at many shows over the years. He was a very talented modeller. His skills principally lay in N Gauge and there was always a new layout in progress for exhibitions which would be based on a real location.
