Trafford Junction
New to RMweb and to modelling!, but would ask if anyone has Marcway point plans they are willing to part with. I know they are included in their planner book but I am only really interested in their range of 3 way points and £11.95 is a bit steep just for that! Appologies everyone, but I should have also added that I am modelling in O gauge!! Edited May 29, 2019 by Trafford Junction
hayfield
Why not use Templot, a free bit of software and now very easy to use, also the geometry will be far more prototypical. plus if you decide to get a bit more adventitious you can alter the size of the exits. Your other option is to download a Peco plan
Trafford Junction
Thanks Hayfield, will look for the Templot d/load and try it out. As a matter of interest, Peco do not do 3 way points, have no plans to do so, and consequently no appropriate downloads.
ISW
There's someone on the Bay-of-E selling one, and the accompanying photos show the turnout drawing. See: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/O-GAUGE-MARCWAY-3-WAY-POINT-KIT-COMPATIBLE-WITH-PECO/133063568050?hash=item1efb34eab2:g:kngAAOSwQ0Fc6Unl Maybe there's enough information available for you? Trafford Junction
Thanks ISW. Checked this one out previously and it does not give me what I am after ie. an actual plan of the point, such as Peco provide with their point plan downloads. cheers for trying to help. RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted May 30, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 30, 2019 Hi, Templot is free to use, and will print 3-way tandem templates in any gauge or scale. They can be single-sided or double-sided, straight or on a curve. More info here: http://templot.com/companion/3_way_tandem_turnouts.php cheers, Martin. Trafford Junction
Thank you Martin Wynne. Had a quick look at the link and it looks extremely helpful. I will get back to it over weekend when I have the time to sit down and study it!! Cheers.

I don't know if it's exactly identical geometry to the Marcway 3-way points, but the C&L template (L8/R6 or L6/R8) is £3.00. https://www.clfinescale.co.uk/online-store/TEMPLATE-THREE-WAY-ISOMETRIC-7MM-p128257044

I guess that the OP is wanting to match with Peco turnouts as it would be a bit unusual only to have 3-way points on a layout. As a beginner, he might do better to follow proper pointwork geometry and make himself a couple of simple turnouts before trying a 3-way.
sharris
True - I didn't tackle a 3-way until I'd done 6 ordinary points!
