Marcway point plans

Recommended Posts

New to RMweb and to modelling!, but would ask if anyone has Marcway point plans they are willing to part with. I know they are included in their planner book but I am only really interested in their range of 3 way points and £11.95 is a bit steep just for that!

Appologies everyone, but I should have also added that I am modelling in O gauge!!

Why not use Templot, a free bit of software and now very easy to use, also the geometry will be far more prototypical. plus if you decide to get a bit more adventitious you can alter the size of the exits.

Your other option is to download a Peco plan

I don't know if it's exactly identical geometry to the Marcway 3-way points, but the C&L template (L8/R6 or L6/R8) is £3.00.

I think that the Marcway 6' radius points match Peco geometry rather than a prototype arrangement. I guess that the OP is wanting to match with Peco turnouts as it would be a bit unusual only to have 3-way points on a layout.

As a beginner, he might do better to follow proper pointwork geometry and make himself a couple of simple turnouts before trying a 3-way.
