RD400
Have a question got class 20 double head Paul Chetter sound from digital trains on zimo I've had a read of the zimo manual is there a way so chip B the second engine start up to delay it any more than it does and for it to also run longer after the first engine stops . This would be more realistic as it currently starts up and stops so shortly after the main chip A does any help would be grateful received.
pauliebanger
You can extend the start delay delay on the B unit with CV273. Higher numbers increase duration. There is no equivalent adjustment for shutdown. Best regards, Paul

RMweb Gold russ p Posted June 2, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 2, 2019 Why would you want it to start later? When you press the start button both engines start motoring simultaneously if they have been left to prime properly both should fire more or less instantly when they turn over. 20/3s sometimes fire differently as they won't motor until they have oil pressure. When the stop button is pressed both shut down immediately
RD400
I'm thinking that a driver would get into one engine then start that one up then would have to make his/her way to the second engine to start that one up if that is how it's done then there would be a time delay in the second engine starting . If I'm wrong in how this would be the start procedure if some one could explain the start procedure for double heading that would be great .
RMweb Gold russ p Posted June 2, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 2, 2019 (edited) I think I explained it above mate. Its impossible to start them independently. With blue star multi working all locos do the same thing as the lead one Its not really impossible to start them independently but its never done . Battery switches in on both locos EO for two minutes then start Edited June 2, 2019 by russ p
