Satan's Goldfish
I'm a little out of touch now with wagon types, but at 5.02 on the video below there's a single '40ft' flat with 2x Evergreen 20ft boxes on. What's the flat? I was aware of 40ft flats in pairs and triples now in use, but not singles.
Mark Saunders
It's one of the former British Gypsum flats that were used by EWS on the Kirkby Thore Gypsum traffic from Drax and stored at York for over 10 years before being refurbished at Wabtec Doncaster and hired to GBRf and used out of Doncaster Railport to Felixstowe. They built by Rautaruuki in Finland and are in effect a 40' version of the 60' version supplied to Tiphook! https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/bglewscontainerflat Mark Saunders

I'd wondered what had happened to them. If you were stopped waiting for a platform at York coming down from Newcastle, you were right next to them and there were small trees growing up through the framework of the wagons and everything!
