To attempt to join both, would do a disservice to both layouts in my opinion, taking a way the individual feel and identity to each.

 

Cwm Prysor would no longer be a small piece of North Wales, and Ffarquhar wouldn't be the terminus of a branch line in North West Sodor.

 

Model railways (for me) is about creating a small world I can go and escape into. It would all lose that illusion for me.
