Would you be able to do these for P4 gauge (niche I know...)

They are drawn to 1/76 scale rather than gauge using measurements of the real thing so in theory they should be suitable for P4 as is. I've just had a quick check and 18.83mm gauge looks about right between where the chairs would be.

Drew up another freelance bodyshell ready for a test print once the z-axis upgrade arrives. Sort of loosely based on an 08 crossed with a YEC DE2 I guess, with a hint of Triang Dock Shunter :D I've decided to print any future shells with the coupling as seperate parts purely as the rear one, which would be on the side nearest the build plate, has a tendency to print a bit rough due to the supports needed.

Hi guys, just a quick note, I've decided to close my Etsy store purely as I'm not getting any footfall on it so it seems a waste to keep it going. I may re-open it at somepoint but for now my plan going forward is to simply provide a pricelist and if anyone fancies anything to just drop me a PM :)

In the meantime I fettled my 48DS shell a tad and tried the first print since getting the z-axis upgrade, as well as using the Prusa auto-orientate feature which has resulted in the best quality print of it so far. There's still a few slight layer lines but I think at this point that's simply the limitation of the printer. I'm almost at a point where I'm happy to offer these for sale, however I've had a thought regarding the fixing of the wheels to the shell which I'd like to try out.

Missing the sand boxes behind the front buffer beam?

Could you expand on the "Prusa auto-orientate feature" in relation to the Photon please?

The Nim.

Instead of using Chitubox to add supports and orientate prints, I've started using Prusa Slicer instead. It has a built in auto-orientate feature which will figure out the best angle to print an object at to minimise the amount of surface being printed at any one time to avoid suction issues. I've also found the auto-support feature to be easier and more successful than Chitubox too, though it's not infallible.

The only downside is it doesn't natively support the .photon filetype so you still have to export as an .stl and slice in Chitubox.

To be quite honest it's missing a few things, partly for ease of printing, and partly because I modelled it from photographs as it was only ever intended to be used as a wagon load/siding filler/print test so it's not 100% accurate. I've tried to keep the underneath as open and clear as possible otherwise it has a tendency to start to warp the underframe as it's printing.

I've modified the model to incorporate a very simple system for clipping the axles in place, as well as reworking the bufferbeams to accept Roger Smith 3-links. I'm aiming to try a test print tonight to see how it comes out.

Working on a bit more realistic NG loco than the previous ones I've done. This is heavily based on the Baguley-Drewry/Andrew Barclay NG23/24/25 Battery Electric locos built in the 70s for RAF Chilmark, all 3 of which are currently preserved AFAIK, with a few compromises for chassis fit.

Again this is designed for a cut down 11-104, I've added some space at the front and rear, as well as in the battery bank to allow for a decent amount of weight to be added. I'm hoping to trial the couplings as potential working ones with a brass wire pin and 3d printed drawbar. My plan next is to draw up some rolling stock so I'm hoping I can standardize with a coupling design that works, and is still in scale/somewhat prototypical.

3rd test print came out much better, ignore the sanding dust :) just awaiting some LEDs (yup, I'm adding lights) then I can get it painted. I now have this whole RAF Chilmark underground boxfile layout thing going round in my head so... hmmm.

Fuelling point printed pretty nice, although I managed to glue the canopy in place slightly skewed which I've since fixed. I also added some more 3d printed gubbins to the layout.

Absolutely lovely work Alex. I've also been admiring your other threads and your attention to detail is outstanding... you've really inspired me to spend some time at my work bench this afternoon and finish off some of my part started projects.

The Baguley-Drewry (ex-Chilmark) BE loco has struck a particular chord with me, as I was partially involved with the purchase and subsequent preservation of NG25.

Thanks for the kind comments chaps!

Decided I was in the mood to put together another body shell over the last few days so decided on a rough representation of a Hunslet 0-6-0DH to fit over an Oxford Janus chassis. Obviously the Janus chassis bears only a passing resemblance to the Hunslet but I think it'll look alright.

For those who haven't seen how the Hunslet turned out on my Handsworth Goods thread, here's a few pics. It's not perfect but doesn't look too bad.
