So first job today was another half hours running, I do have a few Rail ends at the joins to the Fiddle Yards to fine tune, but I recon I hade about 80% good running.

Then a start was made on the Platforms, 18mm MDF and Peco Platform edging with the locating lugs cut off. These were then nailed to the sides of the MDF and then covered in Brick Papers.

I have decided to dispense with Platform 3, and there will now be some railings to protect it from the passing Freight line.

Cheers, BUT what is that in lay mans English, a 101, 105, 108, or a 110?

As you may have guessed, I no bu66er all about DMU's mate.

Class 101 were in RR days as power twins to keep up with Sprinter acceleration, or a little earlier class 108s in Blue Grey plus 101s

Thanks Buddy, I'll have a look out for one, once funds permit another purchase.:good:

I have a slight visual issue with the FY at the RH end, to me the RH track enters on a left hand curve and the LH track on a RH curve and they cross over each other just inside their respective tunnels, presumably this is less obvious in real life looking at the layout?

You are technically right Mike, but it has to be that way because of the arc of the swivelling Sector Plate, I will be building up the ground in front of the Single Track, to form a cutting for the Single Track to run through, and then all you will see from a normal viewing angle will be the roof of a coach etc.

Hello Andy l think the platforms are far to long, you will have to do a lot more modelling on them to make them look the part, , so shorter will be better ? just a thought...

Thanks for your input George, I need that length to hold a 2 Car DMU, and still be ably to move the sector Plate the other side of the Bridge. Once there are some benches on there and Platform Lamps it will look better, I hope.

Looks good, I like the MDF platform idea, I’ve just brought some peco concrete sides to play with.

how do the 150s run ? I could do with one for my 91 era version.

I love the 150's Rob, I've had several over the years, from a Regional Rail Sprinter the same as I have now, to Central Trains, Centro, Arriva Wales and a Northern one.

Q, = Why did I sell them?

A, = No idea, total madness.

The current 150270 and the Hornby 153 have Digitrains / Zimo Sound with active braking and are really sweet runners, I just need some sound, (same supplier again) for 150150 when funds permit.

I did manage to do a little more on the Bridge this morning, I have left it wide, so that it will either be a Dual Carriageway, or if I find a suitable Station Building to go on there it will be a single Road.

Then fettled the troublesome rail ends and then had another short running session.

What Ho Peters Old Chap !

Long time no communication, well Constable, What ever his name is, is concerned about those cars driving on the pavement on your bridge. He would have come and told you himself but he is still worried about being caught by the pesky woman Ms Rivette Counteer and being told he is in the wrong uniform again. The vicar and Sgt I mean Mr Shoutalot send their regards. Must get back to our hide out incase that pesky woman turns up on her bike.

Andy - just a thought.  If you have some BH Peco track available perhaps change the sidings to that.  Better suits the concept of disused sidings than Fb rail.

Good job thus far :-)

Thanks Melly, Very nice idea, but I don't have any BH Track, but once covered in Grass, it will hardly notice, I hope.

Thanks for the gen Andy.

i have a 153 but can’t get the acceleration right under DCc, whatever I put in it’s still like Lewis Hamilton.

Have you played about with the Start Voltage, and the Acceleration Voltage. CV's 2 and 3?

On most of mine CV2 is about 5, and 3 at about 15, but best to check what you have before changing them mate

I also do my TV / Top Voltage, at about 25 for a lower top speed.
