Stafford Railway Circle have two club members layouts at this new exciting exhibition..

Pete Griffiths will be there with Crimson Road a layout based on a EWS depot , a little bit different in that a main line  runs past behind the depot with both passenger and freight traffic passing through.

In contrast my layout Oil Drum Lane is a fictional DRD depot and refuelling facility based somewhere in the south,

A large selection of all classes of DRS locomotives that have been used by DRS over the years, from class 20s an 33s to the current fleet of class 66s and  class 88 and of course the class 37 workhorse.

The fuelling facilities are however used by all the main operators, including occasionally the odd kettle getting a well deserved top up of water on a steam special.

If space permits its is hoped that examples of a selection of Network Rail stock will be passing through Oil Drum Lane.

Please do come and say hello.

We are looking forward to bringing our main club layout "Euxton Junction" (note not Euston Road) to this exciting new show.

Euxton Junction is Preston & District Model Railway club's 4mm layout based on the West Coast Main Line just south of Preston. It's based on the prototype junction near Euxton Station and features the split to Bolton/Manchester and 4 track Overhead Electrification on the fast and slow lines.

Its typically set around 2005 +/- about 5 years, although there may be the odd "special".

Hopefully a couple of photos below give a good idea.

Please stop by and say hello or ask any questions that you might have.

Cheers

Jeremy

Good Evening,

Well that's all the stock packed for another weekend away with Weaver Hill. There have been quite a few alterations to the loco roster for this weekend though. Noticing that Euxton & Balshaw lane are there we have decided to change our location for the weekend to the East Coast.

This does mean we get to take our East Coast fleet out. As the layout can be ran from 1996 - present day we have decided to show the east coast mainline though the livery changes seen over this period. What this means is that people from all generations who have grown up along the East Coast Mainline attending the show shall defiantly see something they know. You can slip back into the seat of the train and take yourself back to those long hours commuting to work or maybe a weekend break to see family and friends.

Where shall you go? London for work, Edinburgh for the tattoo or York for the Races?

We hope to see you there.

Hope to get there Sunday as we have a poorly cat. Look to be some good O scale layouts, trade stands look ordinary given the event theme.
