I'm very grateful to have been invited to this year's exhibition, for the first 'proper' (weekend) outing of 'Tighte End Yard', a compact Direct Rail Services (DRS) maintenance yard. Looking forward to the show, which is always enjoyable and has a very friendly atmosphere. Below are some pics to whet the appetites of present-day modellers...

Hope to see some forum members there...come and say hi to me and Cal.N if you're attending!

Looking forward to this show and thanks to the Blackburn team for inviting Dallam. Just doing the final touches on some items of rolling stock ready for Blackburn.

Here is 142038, just finished, it will be joined by 142070 in the same livery. Also a few pics of the layout.

Cheers

Simon

Final preparations virtually there.

Hoping that the rain relents for the unloading.

Although I'm not there with an exhibit, I'm hoping that a couple of items of mine will be making guest appearances on 2 layouts.............

Cheers,

Mick

Dallam all set up ready for the Blackburn show this weekend, looks like it will be a great show and weekend. Thanks to the organising team, they were non stop tonight and checking all was ok with everyone.

Cheers

Tighte End Yard ready to go...I can echo Simon's comments regarding the BELMRS crew - very helpful and proactive in sorting sockets to plug into, layout positioning, barriers and any general questions or issues. Like a well oiled machine.

Not a clue who this photo bomber is! Come and say hi to me and Cal, and all the other exhibitors and exhibition team this weekend if you can. :senile:

Looking forward to sitting back tomorrow and enjoying the show.

Great first day was had - the BELMRS team certainly continued to look after us! All ran very smoothly (apart from myself nearly having to walk home after my car was locked in last night...), and we were supported throughout the day; particularly with tea and cake! Below is a shot taken of the main hall from the balcony:

Looking forward to another day tomorrow.

Thanks,

Jack.

It looked like a good day from my (mostly outside of the barriers) view.

I even managed a guest operator spell on End of The Spur.

I guess I must have being doing OK as Ray kept wandering by to check in and didn't look too worried.

I may have a play on another layout or two Sunday,.

Cheers,

Mick

Visited today with my brothers and enjoyed it, some good layouts and decent trade support we all managed to buy something!

Did feel quiet though this morning hope visitor numbers were good overall. All being well will be visiting again next year.
