When was St. Boswell’s station demolished?

I was in the Borders for an A level geography field trip , Easter 1978; we were charged with doing a traffic count in the town. I clearly remember the rail bridge over the A68 road was still there, full of pigeons, and I seem to remember the station platform and buildings were too, minus track, a full 9 years after closure, but is my memory playing tricks? When were the platforms and buildings actually cleared, does anyone know?
