jdy928
Hi All, Did/does the RhB use the short Albula coaches on other lines, such as the Bergun Preda section? Regards, Jed in Australia
Glorious NSE
Short ones do seem to turn up randomly in other places based on the pics and video i've seen. For instance - third coach here in a Disentis bound train: RhB Ge 4/4 II 620 presso Ilanz ( CH ) by Daniele Valtorta, on Flickr I guess you can use a short coach to cover a long coach diagram, just not the other way round! Glorious NSE
Another from the same location - second coach this time: Ilanz by Alessio Lucini, on Flickr
RMweb Premium JimFin Posted July 8, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 8, 2019 They were being used on the Chur - Arosa line until it was Allegrified.
jdy928
Woops, meant Benina short coaches, not Albula Regards, Jed
Satan's Goldfish
Yes they get about all over the place, normally singly in a formation. can be randomly spotted in many images. Was easier to spot when they had the dark band along the windows! The majority of the ewIV pictured above were shorties, the long ones are rarer. raetiamann
The Bernina line has tighter curvature than other RhB lines, hence the shorter stock, but these coaches could turn up pretty much anywhere on the network, singly or in pairs.
jdy928
Hi All, Just to let you know that I managed to pick up three short and two long coaches from eBay for a really good price. Starting to build my collection. Regards, Jed
