Railway room decoration

Recommended Posts

To be clear - I'm not going to use cloud wallpaper. It would look good in a room, I can't see it working for model railways

Or Wallace & Gromit, Thomas, Ivor the Engine, Noddy, Chigley....*

Again, I'd rather spend the money on models than walls, so paint is it!

After a lot of searching, I managed to find a light fitting with built-in LEDs, which comes on at about ten-zillion lux, daylight balanced, with one click of the light-switch (good for reading, paperwork, model-making), but switches colour-temperature through "warm white" to "the colour of candle-light" (my descriptions!) with the two subsequent clicks of the light-switch. It came from B&Q, but I don't think its their own make,

I found this:

And bought one. It sounds like it might be the one you have. I shall hang it over my modelling area

I also bought some paint

Thanks for your help, all. I'm off to get painty

Well, ceiling is painted white, walls are blue (B&Q Googhome Frejus), second hand laminate floor is down

Second hand Billy shelves are in together with my El-Cheapo workbench

And

I have swapped the motor on a Minitrix Dock Tank chassis for an N drive one. I'm modelling in my new room!
