RMweb Premium MrTea Posted July 14, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 14, 2019 Does anyone know if one of the manufacturers produces a family of figures suitable for a 1:76 diorama? My daughter (8) is looking for a family group (ideally mum, dad and 2 girls) to add to her model of our house. We've made a Scalescenes 1930s semi-detached house and have a suitable kit for the garden (Busch) but we're struggling to find a suitable group in any of the easily available ranges. I've checked Hornby, Noch and Preiser and I can see lots of figures, rail passengers etc but not many seem to offer 'normal' figures suitable for a street scene with neighbours etc.
Marly51
Hi Mr Tea, I often customise figures from the cheaper unpainted plastic ranges. Dapol has two sets with standing figures and seated figures, if your daughter wanted to have a go at painting them with some acrylic paints? Unlike the more expensive painted figure ranges, these models are a bit static. https://www.modelscenerysupplies.co.uk/oo-scale-products/oo-gauge-figures-animals/Unpainted-OO-Figures/platform-accessories-oo-co12 https://www.newmodellersshop.co.uk/Dapol-kits.htm Edited July 14, 2019 by Marly51
Marly51
I assume you have seen the Preiser ‘Children’ and ‘In the Garden’ sets? Marlyn https://www.modelscenerysupplies.co.uk/oo-scale-products/oo-gauge-figures-animals/Model-People-OO
soony
Try Bachmann for a lot of pre-painted sets of people, for aroung £9-£10
Butler Henderson
I find HO figures subject to being correctly dressed can be useful to portray teenagers - OO children are usually of pre school/junior school age,
RMweb Premium Nile Posted July 14, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 14, 2019 Dart castings have some seated figures that are a family group. The Dapol platform figures include children.
ess1uk
You could get yourselves scanned and 3D printed?

Darwinian
The old Merit figures , now sold as modelscene, include several different children amongst them. Might be too 1950s looking however for modern day.
