Hello All, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you there is now only five weeks to go until the Medway Model Railway Show at the popular location of Fort Pitt Grammar School on Fort Pitt Hill (overlooking Chatham station and the Kent Coast line and the River Medway) in Chatham, Kent, ME4 6TJ. Visitors travelling by car should follow the signs to UCA, Rochester - as we are located next door - and there is plenty of parking available. Visitors can also use public transport and there are regular train services to Chatham station: High speed trains between London St Pancras International/Stratford International and Faversham; Thameslink trains between Kentish Town and Rainham; Kent Coast trains between London Victoria and the Kent coast. Local residents and those using public transport can take advantage of our shuttle bus leaving Fort Pitt Grammar School every hour from 10.00 until 16.00, serving Chatham, Rochester and Strood stations as well as the Royal Engineers Museum, Gillingham for visitors travelling to/from the Medway Model Show where there will be an array of model kits and military models on display. Unfortunately, the shuttle bus is not wheelchair accessible.

This year we have even more exhibits for our visitors including:

N Gauge

Coffee table layout; Downlands; King West; Maxwell (winner of the 2017 & 2018 best layout trophy); Oaklands; Westfield

HO Gauge

Alt Furka

OO Gauge

Cato Pass; Doops Island (a layout for children); Gravesend West (making its exhibition debut); Lambourn; Live steam layout; Midhurst; Paddington; Scallywag Corner

O Gauge

Binns Road; Medway Quay

1/32 scale

Habbaniya, Iraq 1941

In addition, there will be a number of other exhibits - including the popular 'a load of balls' - plus trade stands, societies and demonstrators. We are pleased this year to be joined by celebrated internet modellers Clarisse Leviton and Reece Comer. If that was not enough, there is also the school canteen offering a selection of hot and cold meals and refreshments; including their legendary cooked breakfasts!

So, come on down to Chatham on Saturday 7 or Sunday 8 September. A warm welcome and as plenty of entertainment await...
