This all looks very good. I particularly like the paving, and considering it’s 00 gauge you’ve fitted an impressive amount in the space.

Hi today I have been busy building the yard crane for my layout. Painting and weathering the crane has been completed and is secured in place.

I have painted up some oil drums and weathered them and are in place on my layout.

More to do by adding a couple of wall lamps, a lorry and some yard workmen.

Hi today I have been putting some finishing touches to my layout. The lorry has been slightly weathered and added to the layout and a pallet of cement has been lifted onto the lorry. 

The class 03 diesel has made an appearance. I still need a goods wagon, the sleepers have been fitted instead of buffer stops just the chains to add. And last I’m waiting delivery of a couple of wall mounted yard lamps. So all in all about 90% completed.

Thanks Marlyn for your kind comments. The lorry came in the post this morning so it needed some weathering before going onto the layout.

I hope the two lamps arrive tomorrow so these can also be added. My wagon will need to wait for payday.

It looks good and makes a good environment for the 03. Do you know whether the sidings will be long enough to do some shunting?

Sounds good, although I was more concerned about the siding lengths on the scenic section. Can I also ask what you used for ballast? It seems an interesting change from what you usually see used and I think something similar might look good on one of my industrial layouts in the future.

Hi 009 micro modeller, the scenic section should hold a small wagon. The ballast I used was woodland scenic coarse dark brown. I have used this as I have seen a couple of areas use this type of ballast.
