18B
Hi, after the closure of Brighton steam depot, was this a small diesel depot set up in its place?
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted August 16, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 16, 2019 Part of Lovers Walk EMUD I believe, no separate Motive Power Depot was provided once the Steam MPD closed.

No - Your photo shows what I knew as the 'Combined Engineering Depot' which was part of the Chief Civil Engineer's empire. Don't be misled by the number of locos parked there! IIRC, there was a fuel point at the far end of the EMU shed to cater principally for the diesel shunters. Martin
