Millimodels 1:200 card train kits

I've been doing some work in Z scale on a working display layout for the Great Central Railway, for which there is not a lot available in Z scale [1:220].

Has anyone else come across the Millimodels range of card loco & train kits? These are similar to the prewar printed Micromodels kits.

There is a range of limited edition sets of LYR, GWR and GCR trains so far. Available via eBay for $9.30 inc post on:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Millimodels-GCS1-set-Great-Central-Railway-local-passenger-train-1-200-/264272946046?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10

There is a Micromodels website at Micromodels.co.uk

Clearly 1:200 is a slightly bigger than z scale at 1:220 scale and the track gauge would be about 7.17mm so the difference might be visible. But could be used as static trains in sidings. Or just to collect.

Is 1:200 scale used for anything else? Would be 1.5mm: 1 foot. Maybe scope for tiny dioramas. Layout in a lunchbox?

I have a couple of Micro models sets, but I have not tried Millimodels yet.

1/200 is a minor wargames scale so there is a fair range of white-metal military figures and vehicles available mainly for WW2.

Wargames 10mm scale (referring to figure height) is slightly larger than true 1/200 but has a much larger range of suppliers and figures.

You might find some of the WW1 sets useful.

For example Pendraken miniatures produce figures and vehicles for a WW1 trench railway.

Have fun,

Thanks and interesting to see these models. There is more variety than I thought in the Micromodels and other 1:200 scale. Also I suspect that the Atlas static plastic train sets are actually closer to 1:200, the gauge of the plastic track included is about 7.1mm.
