Richard Scott
Beaten me to it Paul, was going to bump it to. For anyone thinking of visiting Shipley this weekend, a great show with quality layouts and definitely worth a visit to the cafe for a slice of cake. AMJ
The Tramshed at Saltaire is now a micro brewery. Ossett have started brewing SALT beers there. Planning on visiting as there are usually some good exhibits and traders here. Anyone who likes real railways there is a gala all weekend at the Middleton

Otherwise would be a visit to the show followed by beer. Will be there with the layout in 2021 I think it is.
88D
Went today. Good show, as per normal, with good range of large and small layouts, and good selection of traders. Picked up a few tips from the small layouts that could be useful for my next minimum opus. Great to see Hungerford in full flow again.
RMweb Premium t-b-g Posted September 14, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 14, 2019 Made it to the show today and it was well worth making the journey. Some lovely layouts and some good people to catch up with. I didn't really look at the trade much as I am in the happy position of having everything I need in stock! I found St James particularly inspiring. Lovely modelling, very well designed and being very well operated. Hungerford, Halifax King Cross and Clayton West are well worth seeing too. They are just my personal choices but there are several other good quality layouts. Well worth a trip if anybody is deciding what to do tomorrow. gr.king
Much as I would like to attend, I can't fit it in this weekend. If only it were closer and both Leeds and Bradford were not "in the way" from my direction.... Ah well, any more pictures anybody, please?
RMweb Premium t-b-g Posted September 15, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 15, 2019 The only one I photographed was St James. Mainly as I hope to nick a few ideas! The others I liked I have covered by articles in the press. Here is a snap..
AMJ
It was great to see that there were more people running DCC rather than DC. Nice to chat with Norman and then a friend from school days just before getting into the car.

RMweb Gold 4630 Posted September 17, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 17, 2019 I visited the show on Saturday and as usual Shipley MRS put on a very good event. The exhibition team do seem to be able to attract a wide selection of top quality layouts covering all the usual main scales, with good trade support. I took a few photos and apologies that I'm posting these a few days after the show. Life got in the way - as it frequently does. Callerton Clayton Conistone a few more to follow...
