RMweb Premium 47137 Posted August 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 28, 2019 (edited) I want to represent a Parisian taxi around 1960, in 1:87 scale. The Busch 48014 'Citroen DS19 Taxi' would be ideal, but the prototype had a simple black livery so I could repaint a different model. I'm trying to track down a model located in the UK, to keep the postage costs down. Really, any model DS19 in H0 scale would be fine. - Richard. Fenman
No use to you, but yesterday I happened to re-watch The Day of the Jackal. It hasn't aged terribly well but it's a nostalgic watch, including a vast banquet of gorgeous DSs in pretty much every outdoor scene. No car has ever looked more beautiful. RMweb Premium 47137 Posted August 28, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted August 28, 2019 I enjoyed the film, screened on the BBC one afternoon many years ago. The only time I wrote a complaint to the BBC. I told them the film was unsuitable for pre-watershed viewing; I got a reply to tell me the standards for a 15 certificate film have changed over the years. Indeed they have. Anyway - I've found a red Busch DS19 for sale in the UK, it had a mis-spelt description (Citreon). Good. - Richard.
