Model Trains in the Valley 2019

The Liphook and District MRC will be holding their 10th annual open day 'Model Trains in the Valley' on Sunday 27th October, at the Milland Valley Memorial Hall, Milland, West Sussex.

As well as club layouts 'Inspired by Friedrichstrasse' (H0) and the work-in-progress 'Lavender Hill' (00), we will have at least one club member's layout (a new 00 set in 1990s Southern England), plus at least one visitor - confirmed as the German N gauge 'Schwungischerplatz' (a perfect compliment to Friedrichstrasse).

 

Refreshments will be available and there will be the usual small second-hand stall as well.

In addition to the two club layouts and the visiting German N gauge layout above, we also have a new 00 layout constructed by one of our members. Working title is 'Battersea Wharf', set in 1990s South London.

 

In addition, the Milland Valley modellers are bringing their work in progress 'East Hants Link', a what-if light railway in N gauge, imagining a tram link between Liphook and Borden, set in the present day.
