Moderators AY Mod Posted September 2, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2019 Patricia? How long did you soak it for? Maybe could have done with longer but you probably won't notice when repainted an weathered.

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted September 2, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 2, 2019 I've had similar remnants of paint. Try and "ping" it off with a sharp blade. Cheers, Mick

I found DOT4 ok but it never got the stubborn bits off. DOT3 was the more aggressive type.
Steadfast
I think (though nothing scientific!) These little blobs are where glue holding the handrails on has crept out through the holes. This forms a protective layer that the stripper won't touch. As Mick said, try gentle knife action Jo Edited September 7, 2019 by Steadfast

Duncan Says on the back, lots of different solvents. i couldn’t ping the yellow bits off, they are stuck fast but you can’t see them under the primer
