Stormbringer
Hi all, Now I'm getting into this DCC sound lark, I fancy fitting TTS sound to my Railroad P2. My question is, having had loco and tender apart where do I fit the speaker and what speaker do I use? I fancy the idea of a square megabass speaker in the tender but I get the feeling that it won't be as easy to do as the Crosti 9f. TIA Pete
Stormbringer
Thank you Richard, much appreciated. Did you move the decoder socket into the tender? The socket on my loco is on the engine chassis just in front of the motor. Pete
RAF96
I used a cube speaker in my Merchant Navy which has a socket in the loco. It stands on the shelf at the front of the chassis frame with the (insulated) decoder stuffed in the smokebox. P2 should be similar. Edit: I also have an A4 with the decoder in the loco and as Richard says the speaker wires extended into the tender.
