Minitrains controller current rating

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what current the Minitrains controller is rated as? I’ve managed to acquire one cheaply but without the transformer/adaptor. I’ve sourced one which will convert the mains voltage to the controller’s input voltage but just need to check that the input current will not be too high.

Thanks,

Danny

On mine the label on the actual controller states ‘In - 12V, Out 12V PWM’ i.e. the stepping down from mains is not done in the body of the controller but the pulse width modulation is. But if it is (as I suspected) 1A like a lot of controllers then that is useful to know. Thank you.
