Midlands leaders seek £3.6bn to fund regional rail projects

Recommended Posts

I'd be fascinated to learn what the 'improved track and services' comment means for Reading - Birmingham - Derby - Sheffield - ECML means in view of the fact that various sections of it have been resignalled in fairly recent years (e.g. most of Reading - Birmingham) and various sections of the Cross -Country routes involved have 30 minute interval train services plus parallel services in many places.  So does it just mean longer trains in respect of some of these routes?
