Finally some mojo has returned. I wasn't happy with the area around the goods shed so i spent some time trawling through various threads on here to get some inspiration and ideas of which there were many great layouts.

Also decided on a new building for the Builders yard diorama.

I understand your change of mind regarding the original shed, whilst it looks the part and is nicely modelled I think by replacing it with an open fronted building it will give you what you need ( hopefully ) as well as still having a presence on the layout.

Look forward to your progress.

Thanks G,

Put this on the wrong thread, apologies for delay in response. This is on my Builders Yard thread.

Agreed it was to muddled and cluttered so a change as they say.

Regards

Julian.

I note the Dapol TTA’s have a price tag of £72:25.

Thats about the same price as Heljan's Esso Tanker when it came out which is why I only ended up with one!

Yes I see why Paul, thats a definite price hike from them, I quite enjoyed building the TTA, although by the time you add buffers, couplings and wheels its dearer.

Strange how Dapol continue with wagons and Heljan say they make no money from them.

Progress so far on the TTA, chassis to paint then weather followed by transfers.

What locos did you drive for that turn? 66’s?

66’s. Hollingbourne tanks. Fawley, Woking, run round, Alton, run round into Hollingbourne. Loaded Woking, run round, down to Fawley. After I left they started running via Guildford and along the coast until they finished

What a shame visiting Mum this weekend thought Id visit Bourton model railway, doors locked and up for sale.

A lovely couple ran the shop for decades, obviously retiring, for the thousands of tourists visiting not enough bought from the shop.  If only I had a spare £2 million.

I must admit I do like the look of the more modern liveries that Heljan have done this time, but as much as I like a good 60, I’m afraid they’re too modern.

I might be tempted by another triple grey one at some point in the future.

Regards,

Cameron
