Mark Alfa
I was contemplating buying a model car and weathering it to give it an abandoned look but I was worried I would make a right mess of it so instead I cut a piece of foam into a car shape and layered a piece of Kleenex tissue over the top of it and dabbed it with a watercolour mix to hopefully look like a tarpaulin and I’m quite happy with how it turned out. Also completed the back part of the depot so I have one piece of the back scene in place. 10
Mark Alfa
Final back scene is now in place and the ballast in the sidings now weathered and greenery added. 6

Mark Alfa
Thanks again for the comments. Very much appreciated! The last of the buildings arrived today with a Hornby Class 56 and aBachmann OCA wagon. Mark Alfa
I didn’t think I would be doing this but I doubt I’m the only one. I have taken up part of the track as I have got a bit more space to play with. The plan is to add a couple more sidings for wagon storage more than anything else. I’ve got a rough idea of how I want them but still to decide on the final plan as I want minimal disruption to the rest of the layout. Mark Alfa
Extra sidings now in place. I have used a different colour just to add a bit of contrast to the layout and to give the impression of newly laid track, which it is.
Mark Alfa
The extension is coming a long nicely with the ballast weathered in with some greenery added. There will be a Bachman site office added the sidings yard.

Midnight-Freight
Really nice looking layout. The hardstanding kit looks excellent and is next on my list to try and achieve a satisfactory appearance after several other attempts.

Received the site office this morning and a few accessory bits including figures. Added LED lights to the office. Not far off from completion now.
