Nick Lowe
I have just acquired a small collection of Exley Coaches, amongst them was this crimson and cream corridor 1st. I cannot find any relevant information concerning this particular model. Can anybody help?
mossdp
LMS maroon was the most common livery for Exley coaches but BR crimson and cream along with many other colours including SR green, LNER teak, GWR chocolate and cream, BR maroon (not the same shade on the models to LMS variety). various pre-grouping colour schemes were also made. Some liveries were more common than others.

RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted December 26, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 26, 2019 Just found a photo of an Exley 3 car DMU (I believe it is a Class 104) in green. Located in Railway Modeller 1960 January, in the News Special section. No info given, other than it is priced at 16 pounds 3/9. Sounds like a lot of money, when a 2 car Tri-ang was selling for around 58 shillings! Any one know anything more on this?

Around £2 when a Dublo coach was about 15/-. This does seem rather OTT however.
Silverfox17
What sort of information are you looking for Nick, the coach or livery? The coach was just one of the standard shells used for LMS and some WR ones. The livery is the very early BR Blood and Custard as it became known. This livery is one of the harder ones to come by but in the last 3 or 4 years a handful have been seen. Garry
