Max's Model Railway
Hello, so recently I bought quite a Marx Train Set I bought it to use for this for this Upcoming Holiday or Christmas Season, I was hoping to operate it with a 9 volt rechargeable battery in the controller, for Improved Efficiency and for longer operation, I was wondering, since the model runs technically off 3 volts as I've had Experience with Electric Motors that run excellently off of 3 volts In O-27 that are also by Marx, I'm wondering how would I drop voltage without loosing current for this 4.5 volt motor and not stressing the motor out? how many of what diodes would I need and of what specific Type --- Thanks! dave_long
is the battery going in the loco or are you powering the track with it? You could try a nicd 4.5v battery instead. Or a pololu 5v step down regulator. Edited October 4, 2019 by dave_long
