longie
This may be a silly question but............do signal box steps always have to face the platform? I am modelling a small Southern Region terminus but the signal box I want use has the steps facing away from the platform. I suppose I could have a footpath behind the box leading back to the station or that just wrong? Many thanks.

longie
Hi. Thanks for the link, fantastic collection of pictures. I suppose logic and most of those pictures, shows the steps facing the platform. I will either have to turn my layout around (not easy) or find another signal box. Shame kit manufacturers don't give you the option!!!! Cheers.
Poor Old Bruce
That's where kit-bashing comes in - make your own options to make what you want out of the kit parts. Slavishly following kit instructions is not compulsary.
longie
Good point Bruce, but I'm not sure I'm that good. But worth a try I suppose. Thanks.

The price of a signal box kit (find something cheap to practice on if you have doubts). What's to gain? Modelling experience to last you a lifetime. Don't the old maxim that the man who never made a mistake never made anything.
longie
I think it will be easier than re-building the baseboards!!!!!!!
