Unlike the Larkin books, this volume includes drawings of many types of vehicles, so very useful for modelling. It's Volume 1 of what was intended to be a series, so only covers some of the fleet; you'll look in vain for hoppers, or vans. Not noticed any duplication of photos, even though Mr Larkin is one of the authors. There is a very useful introductory chapter illustrating components such as brakes, axle-guards and boxes. I'd definitely recommend it if you've more than a passing interest in freight vehicles.
Mark Saunders
Do you mean "AN ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF BR WAGONS Volume One " by Bartlett, Mann, Ward, Larkin & Silsbury. Definitely worth purchasing; it is an invaluable reference book , price varies depending on supplier! Mark Saunders
