I have just become the very pleased possessor of a pair of DVD-ROMs from the Great Eastern Society containing searchable PDFs of all issues of Moore's Monthly Magazine and the Locomotive Magazine from the first issue to the Grouping.

Already I have found a drawing I despaired of ever finding.

The DVDs have been produced by the GER Society and can be purchased from its website, £15 plus P&P to nonmembers.

They are very well produced with ample explanatory material on how to make use of them, even how to transfer the two DVDs to your hard disk - which I have done.

Full contents lists and indexes are included, along with an index to correspondence items which was missing in the printed volumes.

And the service by the GERSoc was excellent.

Though not relevant to this part of RMWeb there is the possibility of a second part in the future covering post 1923 issues of the Locomotive Magazine.
